Bird count along the Bosque River trail August 14, 2026. Bird lite.
Weather - clear, moderate wind with some strong gusts, temp ~ 80 degrees at 7:15am. Supposed to be about 100 degrees this afternoon.
Bird count - low number of bird types, wind maybe - perhaps temperature
Ducks - I saw a flock of five Ducks flying over the hayfield. They were flying too fast for me to get an identification. They were no Duck calls.
Puddle - The puddle is getting smaller. Today I counted two big Catfish, four moderate-sized catfish, and hundreds of little black Catfish in the puddle. I also counted about 60 Perch. All the Perch I saw were clustered together at the south end of the puddle.
Fish nests - This will be the last fish nest report. All the nests appear abandoned. I saw no Perch today in or around the nests. The nests are getting unrecognizable.
