Flock of Black Belly Whistling Ducks

This flock of Black Belly Whistling Ducks is one of the last sightings of these ducks I have seen this summer (2026). These ducks migrate to Texas from Mexico. I think these ones are heading back to Mexico. I wonder if they are all adult ducks, or maybe this is a pair of adults guiding their new babies back home.

Whistling Duck on a telephone wire

This is the only time I have ever seen a Duck perched on a telephone wire. This one is just outside Rodeo Grounds Coffee. Maybe it wants a small cup-of-joe.
