Summer Tanager and Cardinal

A Summer Tanager (upper) and a Cardinal (lower) land in the same tree. This picture nicely shows the difference between the two red birds. The Cardinal has a black mask around its beak and a tufted head. The Tanager has a rounded head and has no black mask.

Spotted Sandpiper

This is a brief visitor to Stephenville. I only saw this bird for a couple of days one spring.
