Belted Kingfisher

Usually a solitary bird. They make a distinctive chittering call when they fly. They are extremely hard to get a picture of. They seem to have great eyesight.

I don’t see these Woodpeckers very often. Red Shouldered Woodpeckers and Downy Woodpeckers are a lot more common.
