Female Northern Cardinal
Cardinals are the most abundant year-round bird I see on the BRT. They are not always the daily most abundant bird, but you will see them every day on the BRT. Even on cold snowy days you will see them.
Male Northern Cardinal
The most Cardinals I have seen on one BRT walk was 92. Usually, the number is between 10 and 25. I spot males about 3 times as often as females because of the bright red color of the males, and the less flamboyant brown color of the female.
