Bird Count along the Bosque River Trail for July 7, 2026

Weather - Clear, no wind, temp ~ 80 degrees at 7:30 am. Going to be a hot one.

Event 1 - I saw a Painted Bunting in the large tree in the hayfield.

Event 2 - In the same tree a Mockingbird tried to chase off a Hawk. A Cardinal and a Scissortail Flycatcher landed in the tree at the same time.

Event 3 - At the same time as all the birds were in the tree a doe and her fawn wandered past the tree. I was so focused on the birds that I didn’t see them. A person I know on the trail told me about the deer.
